Day 1: Arusha to Miriakamba Hut
Altitude: 1,450m → 2,600m
Habitat: Rainforest

The trek begins with a scenic drive from Arusha to Momella Gate, where park registration takes place. From here, you enter Mount Meru National Park and start hiking through lush rainforest, crossing streams and spotting monkeys, elephants, and a variety of birds along the way.
After a steady uphill hike, you arrive at Miriakamba Hut, your first overnight stop on the mountain. Enjoy a warm dinner and briefing for the next day’s summit attempt.

Meals: Lunch & Dinner
Day 2: Miriakamba Hut to Saddle Hut
Altitude: 2,600m → 3,550m
Habitat: Bamboo Zone → Alpine Desert
Hiking Time: 5–6 hours
Today is a longer trekking day. You ascend through dense bamboo forests, open moorlands, and volcanic ridges. The trail gradually becomes steeper as you approach Saddle Hut, located at the base of the summit cone.
This is the final overnight stop, where you rest, hydrate, and prepare for an early morning summit attempt. Sunset views over the surrounding valleys and Kilimanjaro in the distance are unforgettable.

Day 3: Summit to Momella Gate and Arusha
Altitude: 3,550m → 4,562m → 1,450m
Habitat: Alpine / Crater Rim → Rainforest
Hiking Time: 8–10 hours
Summit day begins around midnight for a slow, steady ascent to Mount Meru summit (4,562m). From the top, enjoy 360-degree panoramic views, including Kilimanjaro, Mount Meru crater, and the surrounding plains.
After celebrating at the summit and taking photos, you descend back through the Saddle and Miriakamba Hut to Momella Gate, where your trek concludes. Transfer back to Arusha for a well-earned rest.
